Barbie Doll House Vintage

The first vintage Barbie dollhouse dates as far back as the early 1960s. Mattel Corporation released their first Barbie dollhouse in 1962. This original vintage barbie dollhouse was a tribute to mid-country style. It was furnished with vintage sleek armless couches and a hi-fi television console for Barbie to enjoy. There were 1960s style indoor rugs and vintage furniture like lamps, tables, and details such as lampshades. The Barbie dollhouse also contained a 1962 vintage record collection. Barbie Doll Invented

You may ask yourself who invented the Barbie Doll and what is all this craze about? Well this craze started back in 1959 and has been going strong ever since. During a trip to Europe Ruth Handler purchased a doll called “Bild Lilli”. This doll was based on a German comic strip and was a gag gift for adults. She brought the doll back to the U.S. and started working on redesigning the doll and worked with a designer who could design doll clothes. The invention of the Barbie Doll was made by Ruth Handler and she named Barbie after her daughter Barbara. On March 9th, 1959 the invention of the Barbie Doll was presented at the Toy Fair in New York City.

Elvis barbie Doll

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The maker of Barbie is coming out with the first-ever Elvis and Priscilla Presley dolls.

The dolls are wearing replica outfits of what the Presleys wore on their wedding day in Las Vegas in 1967.

The Elvis doll is dressed in a black paisley print tuxedo with boutonniere and black boots. Priscilla’s doll is wearing a gown of white chiffon and satin, with tiara and veil.
